| Immigration Disaster.
We don't need a wall...we need a President and a Congress that will enforce
the laws we already have on the books.
Big Business loves cheap labor. Politicians love Big Business.
If Big Business can't send our jobs to
China, India & Indonesia, they want the cheap labor
to come here to them. It is all about money they don't want to pay
to American Citizens who expect more and demand benefits and job security
( How dare we !! )
Let me make a few things clear from the outset. I am not opposed to immigration.
It is what built our country in the first place. I am opposed to being the
recipient of an uncontrolled stampede of cheap workers who do not respect
our country or our laws and have only money on their minds.
When a job opening appears, and where an American Citizen applies and is
otherwise qualified, labor law should require that job first be offered to
the American. There must be no distinction between the wages or benefits
and these shall not be artificially lowered to discourage an American from
applying.
People with necessary skills, including farm workers, should be forced to
use the legal process to come here to seek work. Anyone who hires an immigrant
should be required to determine, in advance, if that person is in possession
of a valid visa permitting him/her access to American soil for purposes of
employment. Failure to do so should result in fines for the first offense
and jail time for subsequent offense.
All immigrants must register their place of employment, and residence and
register any drivers licenses or other licenses they obtain on US Soil. If
unemployed for more than three months they should surrender their visa and
return home.
All such workers must pay into Social Security and Medicaid in order to be
eligible for ANY benefits.
A Constitutional Amendment, if required, should be passed that stipulates
citizenship is not guaranteed to persons born on American soil if both parents
are here illegally.
We need a proclamation that the United States is not responsible for the
health, wealth or wellbeing of any person who enters our country illegally.
Immigration must stop being a tool used to destroy American jobs at the financial
benefit of Big Business.
A more serious problem results because the rich also like to buy people
personal servants who work in their homes and grounds as maids, cooks,
nannies, painters, and gardeners. Nowadays, this largely means Mexican and
Central American immigrantsand illegal ones at that. Of course, U.S.
agricultural and manufacturing businesses want to hire illegal immigrants,
too. However, the really animated core of the political lobby that supports
illegal immigrationits mass base, so to speakis composed of rich
homeowners, who desperately want someone to do their dirty work and to do
it cheaply
