| Gitmo...where we are the most depraved.
I would remind everyone including any US personal engaged in torturing any
persons. Despite the assurances of the depraved president Bush, the excuse
in the war crimes trials after the second world war failed. The defense offered
by Eichmann and others, that they were "...following orders issued by their
superiors..." was declared to be an invalid defense. The orders themselves
are illegal and once Bush is no longer in office your crime remains for the
next president to deal with once you are exposed.
I have great respect for the military men and women, however any one who
follows such an illegal order has no right to respect for once you disobey
the law with full knowledge you are doing so you have become a traitor to
your oath. You should be prosecuted as a common criminal.
If you are told to use torture it is your legal obligation to refuse on the
grounds that it is an illegal order and report the name of the officer who
gave you that order. That is the ONLY honorable way to behave as a member
of the US Military because your actions put you and your own bretheren in
peril of torture and mistreatment at the hands of others.
Bush, by following any line of thinking that would even consider torture
as "ok" shows a profound disregard for your safety and the safety of any
American in harm's way. He cannot complain if you are tortured because he
has declared that it is "ok" to torture someone with impunity.
